Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity Policy
Navy FMO is committed to supporting the Chief of Naval Operations' diversity strategy to institutionalize a culture that fully leverages and values a diverse workforce. FMO supports the enforcement of all applicable Federal Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws, regulations, Executive Orders, and management directives to ensure that all individuals are afforded an equal opportunity for success.
FMO does not tolerate discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, disability, or retaliation. We are committed to working diligently to ensure EEO for all employees and applicants for employment with the command. This commitment must be exemplified in all of our management practices and decisions, including recruitment and hiring practices, appraisal systems, promotions, and training and career development programs.
To enforce this policy, the servicing Human Resources Office (HRO) administers an impartial and effective complaint management process to address and resolve discrimination complaints at the earliest stage possible.
Each employee brings unique attributes to the workplace, which benefit our organization. FMO is committed to creating an environment that is free of discrimination and barriers and empowers every individual to contribute to the mission of the Navy and the organization. Implementation of this policy is a high priority and challenges each member of our workforce to take responsibility for implementing the EEO policy and cooperating fully in its enforcement.
