Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) Branch Overview
The Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness Branch is responsible for supporting the DON in improving financial processes and systems across the commands and leading the way to financial audit readiness. The Branch is responsible for the following programs/initiatives:
- Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness Program (FIAR)
- Integrated Plan of Actions and Milestones (PoAM)

Formerly called the FIP program, the FIAR program will continue to assist commands within the Dept. of the Navy on how best to meet it’s Audit Readiness goals. For more information, please see the FIAR Overview page.
Plan of Action and Milestones (PoAM)
FMO has created a Plan of Action and Milestones (PoAM) which serves as a roadmap for key audit readiness milestones coming up in the near future.
