Domestic Military Banking and Credit Union Program

  • The ASN(FM&C) Office of Financial Operations (FMO) is responsible for:
    • Evaluating installation commanders’ recommendations and forwarding the recommendations to ASN(FM&C) for final approval
    • Providing support to existing banks and credit unions on DOD installations
    • Ensuring operational compliance with DOD regulations
    • Coordinating with the Department of Treasury and Trade Associations (i.e. Defense Credit Union Council and Association of Military Banks of America)
    • Supporting installation bank and credit union liaison officers
  • OUSD(C) and the Defense Finance and Accounting Service (DFAS) Office have a responsibility for providing program policy and guidance

Domestic Military Banking and Credit Union Initiatives:

  • The Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) is the program management office for the Navy-wide deployment of Navy Cash™. This is a commercial eBusiness solution that will replace the legacy ATMs-at-Sea System.
