Finance and Accounting Systems Division (FMO-1)

Troubleshooters assigned to the
Golden Hawks of Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 112 give the approval to launch an
E-2C Hawkeye aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74).

The Finance and Accounting Systems Division
serves as the DON's Functional Area Manager for financial systems, providing transition planning, portfolio management oversight and control, and Business Enterprise Architecture implementation. FMO applies DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR) guidance to the design of the DON accounting systems of record, such as DON Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and the Standard Accounting and Reporting System (STARS).

The Finance and Accounting Systems Division is comprised of two branches:

  1. DON ERP Support (FMO-11)
DON ERP is an integrated business management system that modernizes and standardizes Navy business operations, provides unprecedented management visibility across the enterprise, and increases effectiveness and efficiency.
  2. Financial Management Functional Area Manager and Other Systems Support (FMO-12)
The Financial Management Functional Area Manager (FM FAM) branch works to identify, analyze, and, ultimately, reduce the number of IT software applications and databases in use across all Navy networks.
